  • Do I need special shoes?
    While not required for beginners, ballroom dance shoes offer better support and allow for smoother turns and slides. Should you feel inclined to purchase ballroom shoes, we would be happy to make recommendations.
  • How long does it take to learn a dance?
    Everyone learns at a different pace, but with consistent practice, you can learn the basics relatively quickly. A benefit of working with our instructor Adam, is he tailors the lessons to fit your unique learning style and will work with you at your own pace.
  • What are the benefits of ballroom dancing?
    Ballroom dancing offers numerous benefits, including improved physical fitness, coordination, social skills, and mental well-being. It's also a fun and engaging way to express yourself.
  • Do I need a partner?
    No you don't need a partner for group classes, parties or even private lessons.
  • How long is the class?
    Our private lessons run 50 minutes. Tuesday group classes are 1 hour and Thursday group classes are 1 hour with a 1 hour practice party to follow.

  • What should I wear to my lesson?
    Wear comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. Avoid overly baggy or restrictive clothing. For shoes, smooth-soled shoes are recommended. Avoid rubber soles, as they can stick to the floor. As you progress you might consider investing in ballroom dance shoes.
  • I have no dance experience. Is that okay?
    Absolutely! Beginner classes are designed for those with no prior experience. It's perfectly normal to be nervous/self-conscious when trying something new. Remember that everyone starts somewhere and Adam's goal is to create a relaxed and fun learning environment for all his students.
  • What are the differences between group classes and private lessons?
    Group classes are a great way to learn the basics in a social setting while making friends that share a love of dance. Private lessons are one-on-one with our instructor Adam, who provides personalized instruction and faster progress.
